Chirping Chicken

There is no other place I order delivery from more than Chirping Chicken. I actually have only been there about 5 times over the three years I have lived close by. Maybe it is nostalgia, but I might have a love for it due to my love for the chicken at the Brentwood Country Mart in LA, which I grew up with every weekend.

This flame cooked chicken beats any chicken on the bone place I have ever been to. The flavor is unparalleled. I go for the dark meat usually but this place even made me appreciate the white also. My usual order is a half chicken of dark, and a small order of wings. Now these are not wings as you might think of them. The are basically fried spicy wings, but they are delicious and very moist...yes, I said that.

The sides are pretty awesome too. The sweet potato fries are awesome as are the bbq baked beans.

What I have not tried are the steaks or the swordfish. For a semi fast food restaurant, I just feel like that is the wrong thing to order...so I haven't. They might be good though given the high quality of everything else. My feeling is that if you call yourself a chicken eatery, you should probably order the chicken.

I will gladly eat here on any given day. And, given what is usually an unhealthy diet, the flame cooked chicken is pretty healthy. The wings, not so much but I only eat a couple of them.

76th and Amsterdam in a new beautiful building. Check it out.

Stay hungry my friends.
